Brown Edwards’ Emily Signorelli Named Business Information Professional of the Year

Emily Signorelli, a Director in Brown Edwards Charleston office, has been awarded the Beta Alpha Psi Business Information Professional of the Year (BIPOY). 
 
Beta Alpha Psi is an honor organization for financial information students and professionals. There are over 300 chapters on college and university campuses with over 300,000 members initiated since Beta Alpha Psi's formation. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. 
 
The Business Information Professional of the Year is awarded to one professional in each of the following segments: education; industry & government; and professional services. Current members of the Beta Alpha Psi chapter nominate outstanding alumni or honorary members for this award.
 
To be eligible for this award, the candidate must have affected a great number of lives and contributed to his/her profession internationally/regionally/locally as evidenced by their position within the accounting, finance and information systems professions and a degree of participation in professional affairs and associations. Winners are chosen by the Beta Alpha Psi Professional Partners.
 
Emily Signorelli’s work ethic and dedication to her profession quickly earned her the position of Director at Brown Edwards. She balances a heavy and diverse client load, which includes manufacturers, retailers, colleges, religious organizations, employee benefit plans, and healthcare providers.
 
Emily is heavily involved in the leadership of her local community, which is demonstrated by her involvement in two start-up organizations; Young Professional Kiwanis Club of Charleston, where she served as Treasurer, and Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD), where she serves as the Finance Manager. Emily has also served within the accounting profession as an active member of the West Virginia Society of CPAs (WVSCPA), where she currently serves on the Board of Directors and at the Charleston Chapter of the WVSCPA, where she has served on the board of directors since 2016.
