Event Description:
The Cottage on Louisa will be hosting an Open House on Mother’s Day weekend, Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8 from 12 PM to 5 PM each day. Stop by and see the unique items in the shop for sale and register for items to be given away including two gift bags with different teas, a cup and saucer from the 19 century as well as other goodies in the bags. Other items that will be drawn for are goats milk soap, several perennials, and a tea towel or two. Stop by this weekend or Mother’s Day weekend to register. You do not have to be present to win.
We will be having some wonderful sales going on in the shop as well. Everything will be 10% off and anything that has flowers on it will be 15% off. What a great way to shop for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, an upcoming wedding, hostess gifts, or birthday gifts. In addition to some wonderful items in the shop we will also have perennials for sale to include Peggy Martin roses (which are shown in the picture on our back fence), purple bearded irises, lily-of-the-valley, hellebores, a few boxwoods as well as other perennials. All the plants will range between $2 and $7.
On Saturday morning, May 7 from 11 to 12, Teresa Townsend from Tapestry, LLC will be doing a Moms and Memories workshop on the front porch of The Cottage before the shop opens at 12. Come relax on the porch with coffee and croissants for those who attend, as we share memories of our mothers. You are invited to bring an item or picture to help tell a special story about your mother. It will be a lovely time remembering our moms – past and present.
