Name: Partnering to Strengthen Your Workforce Through Adult Education
Date: June 11, 2025 - August 29, 2025
Event Description:

We are reaching out to local businesses like yours to seek financial support for the expansion of our adult education programs. By partnering with Skyline Literacy, you can help meet the growing need for workforce development while directly benefiting your business. Our customized, low-cost training solutions are designed to enhance the skills of your employees—particularly in English language proficiency, workplace communication, digital literacy, and GED.

Our English as a Second Language (ESL) and Digital Literacy programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of adult learners. These flexible and impactful courses help employees become more confident, effective, and productive in their roles.

We invite you to support our mission through a financial contribution. Your investment will make a lasting impact by improving workforce skills and contributing to the economic vitality of our community. Below are examples of how your donation can make a difference:

$150 covers one trimester of Citizenship Preparation classes or Digital Literacy

$300 supports one semester of ESL instruction for a student

$750 funds one semester of one-on-one tutoring in Basic Literacy, GED preparation, or Math

We greatly appreciate your support. To show our gratitude, we offer the following recognition tiers for contributions:

Lifelong Learner Shout-Out – $150
Your name or organization will receive a public thank-you on our social media platforms, seen by our growing online community.

Knowledge Builder Recognition – $300
All of the above, plus your logo will be featured on our website as a proud community supporter, showing your ongoing commitment to our work.

Empowerment Partner – $750

Includes all of the above, plus the opportunity to share your job postings in our quarterly newsletter, reaching our network of engaged professionals and volunteers.

Here’s what one of our students, Wilder, had to say about his experience:

“Since I live in the U.S., I believe it’s important to learn the language,” he shared. “The teachers are very friendly and the materials are very helpful. I think Skyline has a good idea and gives good support for people who want to learn English.”

Wilder plans to continue studying with Skyline and eventually pursue university-level English courses. His long-term goal is to become a U.S. citizen—an example of the lasting impact your support can have.

I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further about how we can work together to strengthen the local workforce. Please feel free to contact me at 540-433-0505 or nshenk@skylineliteracy.org to schedule a conversation or learn more about our programs.
