Multi-Language Story Time

Pale Fire Brewing Company and Skyline Literacy have partnered to bring you a monthly multi-language story time for the whole family. This multicultural event is specifically geared towards children ages two to seven, and our story time will include a children's book in English, then another in a language spoken by a member of our diverse community. Each month's reader will also take a few minutes to share their own story. Skyline Literacy, a nonprofit organization located in downtown Harrisonburg, strives to enhance functional literacy skills for adult residents of the central Shenandoah Valley. In addition, Skyline Literacy endeavors to improve access to essential community services and to employment and educational opportunities. We'll begin with the readings at 11am, then end with a children's play time. The bar will be open for anyone who wants to purchase a beer, plus we will provide juice boxes for the kids. We kindly ask for a $3 donation, 100% of which will go directly to support Skyline Literacy. Story Time will be the last Saturday of each month. Future dates include April 29, May 27, June 24, July 29, and August 26.
