Event Description:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines aging in place as “the ability to live in one’s own home and community safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, income, or ability level.” The core purpose of the Round Table is to find solutions for aging in place, by connecting families with qualified and trustworthy professionals.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Aging in Place Round Table seeks to educate the community about local services supporting vitality and choice in the second half of life, and provides a forum for discussion and collaboration about the issues surrounding aging in place.

BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE
ROUND TABLE
• Be a member in good-standing with the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce, and abide by its code of conduct
• Attend at least three meetings within six months
• Make a brief member spotlight presentation about your business or professional services
• To maintain membership, attend at least one monthly meeting every six months


NEW in 2019 The Aging in Place Roundtable will be meeting in the Community Room at Rockingham County Offices ( 20 E Gay Street, Harrisonburg) Use Entrance C.
