VMRC Earns Top Award from LeadingAge Virginia

HARRISONBURG, VA (June 28, 2021) - Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community (VMRC) was recently awarded the LeadingAge Virginia Organization Stewardship Award at the LeadingAge annual conference and awards ceremony.

This award recognizes a community that has been exemplary in building public trust and confidence in aging services through public service, collaboration, media or other efforts to educate consumers and make them informed.

Of the award, VMRC’s CEO Judith Trumbo said, “It is because of VMRC employees that we are receiving this award. In the midst of a pandemic, their work, care and kindness made a difference in the lives of residents and is being recognized by those in the community and beyond.”

LeadingAge Virginia is an association of not-for-profit aging services organizations serving residents and clients across the senior care continuum including life plan/continuing care communities, senior housing, assisted living, nursing homes, adult day centers and home and community-based services.
