We are delighted that Governor Northam has given the green light for much of Virginia to move into Phase I of Virginia Strong.  At WILD GUYde Adventures, we are ready to go with our Rock Climbing, Paddling, and Hiking options ("open air").  We are temporarily suspending Wild Caving, since that is considered "enclosed space."  So if your family has exhausted your living room and local park activity options, consider spending a half or full day outdoors in the wildness and sunshine with us!

Rock Climbing and Rappelling in the National Forest, beginner through regular climber level, with all technical gear supplied; half or full day.

Guided Paddling (canoes and kayaks) on the South Fork of the Shenandoah, with stroke and river instruction; "Peaceful-Paddling" is a somewhat relaxing day, and "Pick-Up-the-Pace Paddling" if you want more river excitement.  Also, a flat-water (lake) option if the kids are smallish.

Guided Hiking: let us take you to a waterfall, a rocky mountain overlook, or if you are ready for some serious remote thrashing, The Rock Maze.

Learning Day: instructional session in your choice of several different topics (back-country navigation, fire-building, food-hanging, shelter construction, backpacking stoves, etc.)

Here is a 2 min. video clip of how we will be Covid-mitigating during this time.  https://www.facebook.com/WILDGUYde/videos/543875712977414/ As a federal commercial use permit holder, our plan has been approved by the US Forest Service. Call or email to book a date; weekdays are open as well as weekends.  We can also refer you to several local campgrounds that are opening next week.  Hope to hear from you soon!
