The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce announces their new President & CEO, Christopher “Chris” Quinn

The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce announces their new President & CEO, Christopher “Chris” Quinn April 2, 2021 –
The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Christopher “Chris” Quinn has been selected as the Chamber’s new President & CEO.   Quinn will start his new role as President & CEO on April 29, 2021, working remotely until May 24, 2021.  Quinn said, “I’m both honored and thrilled to be part of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce!  My family is very excited, and we can’t wait to meet everyone and get started.” 

Quinn was the Vice President of International Affairs for Wexford Strategies, a public affairs and business development firm, where he led the company’s activities in global business development and advocacy strategies.

He was previously Vice President of Industry and Government Affairs at the Jacksonville Florida Chamber of Commerce (JAXChamber) where he managed the JAX Alliance, a group of issue committees that advocated for business friendly policies in Northeast Florida, as well as managed their multiple political action committees.

Prior to working in Florida, Quinn worked in Washington, DC, for the Association of Advanced Life Underwriting where he was responsible for their industry coalition, the Issues Alliance.   He then was the Executive Director of the DMA Nonprofit Federation, a trade association representing nonprofits and the fundraising community dealing in tax, postal and fundraising regulations. 

Early in his career, Quinn worked in the Massachusetts State Senate and has been involved in various local and statewide political campaigns in Massachusetts, Virginia and Florida.

Quinn has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in Political Science from Suffolk University in Boston. 

Dr. Melissa Lubin, Dean of Professional & Continuing Education and Chief Economic Engagement Officer for James Madison University and the current Board Chair for Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce said, “We are delighted to welcome Chris Quinn as the new President and CEO of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce. Chris brings experience in chamber leadership, both on the local and national levels.
