Eligible Nonprofit Agencies Registering Now
Harrisonburg, VA – Planning is underway now for the 4th Annual Great Community Give to be held on Wednesday April 21. 2021. Organizers are encouraging early registration for participating nonprofit agencies at www.greatcomunitygive.org. Eligibility requirements include having an IRS 501(c)(3) status and organizations must be located in and serving Harrisonburg and/or Rockingham County. See website for full listing.
“102 area nonprofits participated in Great Community Give 2020 and we hope to surpass that number in ‘21. For nonprofit coordinators reluctant to sign up, we offer advice such as social media training so they can rally their supporters and grow their mission. The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg & Rockingham County initiated the Great Community Give in 2018 as an annual, community-wide day of giving on-line to assist local nonprofit agencies. At the close of GCG on June 24, 2020, the three-year grand total of dollars raised amounted to $1,617,335.00*. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, GCG2020 accomplished its 3 year milestone through generous public donations and the support of local media companies.
