Brown Edwards To Acquire Mitchell Wiggins
Brown Edwards, LLP, an Inside Public Accounting Top 100 Accounting, Tax and Advisory firm based in Roanoke, Virginia, announces its intent to acquire Mitchell Wiggins, a leading provider of tax, audit and business consulting services in the Metro Richmond and Tri-Cities area. This partnership will enhance the resources and capabilities that both firms can provide to their clients, rivaling those of large national firms, while still providing the personal attention needed to better support local and middle market clients. The acquisition has an effective date of November 1, 2021.

Thomas Puryear will serve as area coordinator in the Tri-Cities location.

The Mitchell Wiggins team will bring 6 new partners and an additional 47 new team members to Brown Edwards operations in the Metro Richmond and Tri-Cities area. The newly combined operations will be located in the former Mitchell Wiggins office space at 1802 Bayberry Court, Suite 300, Richmond, VA 23226, with a satellite client meeting location in the existing Brown Edwards office in Midlothian. The acquisition will also result in Brown Edwards first office in Petersburg, serving the Tri-Cities area. In total, the combined new RVA operation will employ 70 professionals, totaling over 400 team members firm wide.
