We are ecstatic to announce that our 2015 Ali d’ Oro is now the “GOLD of the VALLEY,” as it was recently honored with a gold medal at the 2018 Virginia Governor’s Cup. CrossKeys Vineyards also received the extreme distinction of holding one of the 12 elite spots in the Governor’s Cup Case. More than 100 Virginia wineries and more than 440 wines entered the competition that was judged by the industry’s top critics.

Ali d’ Oro is produced in the Eiswine style with Vidal Blanc and Traminette grapes by our wine makers, Stephan Heyns and Steven Monson. It is also named after the owner, Nikoo Baktiar’s, late father, Ali, who inspired and supported her dream to establish CrossKeys Vineyards in the Shenandoah Valley.

CrossKeys also won 2018 Governor’s Cup silver medals for our 2016 Cabernet Franc, 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2016 Joy White, 2016 Petit Verdot, and 2016 Touriga, and our 2015 Petit Verdot took home a bronze medal.
