ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
 
March 7, 2016, Charlottesville, VA. – The Central and Western Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association has announced the addition of Kathryn Sims Cross as Director of Development.
 
Cross comes to the Alzheimer’s Association with an extensive background in non-profit development.  Most recently, she worked as the Director of Development and Marketing at the Charlottesville Free Clinic, a position she held for 16 years.
 
As Development Director, Cross will oversee fundraising programs to ensure revenue growth in annual campaigns, tributes, corporate sponsorships, major and planned gifts and special events including Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
 
“I am pleased to welcome Kathryn to our Association,” says Sue Friedman, President and CEO of the chapter. “She has a depth of experience in the development world that will be an invaluable asset working to expand our corporate relationships and event participation as we implement the Association’s strategic plan and engage more people in our cause.”
