SVTP Highlights 70 new Tourism Businesses and Attractions
The Shenandoah Valley Tourism Partnership (SVTP) announces the opening of 70 new tourism businesses and attractions in the Shenandoah Valley. Within the SVTP footprint, a total of 20 new restaurants, 25 new attractions, and 25 accommodations have opened or expanded, with more on the way. The recently updated SVTP website highlights the new tourism businesses and attractions in a What’s New section of the site.
“Despite the challenges to Tourism world-wide due to COVID-19, there are signs of optimism in the Shenandoah Valley,” states Jean Clark, SVTP President, “tourism businesses continue to open and serve tourists in the region.”
New businesses are varied and diverse and highlight the region’s strengths. From farm-to-table restaurants to a new distillery, many businesses highlight the artisan culture of the region. Major expansions include the Massanutten Waterpark and Bryce Resorts lodging facilities. New attractions include an alpaca farm Walk-A-Paca tour and the much anticipated Crozet Tunnel.
ABOUT SVTP: Formed in 2017, the SVTP is a marketing partnership made up of 11 tourism-forward communities stretching from Winchester to Lexington, whose mission is to promote the Shenandoah Valley as an outstanding year-round destination for visitors from around the world. The local destination marketing organizations (DMOs) who make up SVTP pool resources to build an annual marketing plan that leverages the Valley’s ideal location between the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains of Virginia to reach a far wider audience than any single DMO could on its own. Today’s Shenandoah Valley is one of the most popular getaway destinations in Virginia, with its beautifully serene setting, charming small cities and towns, and fantastic opportunities for outdoor adventure.
