MRL Promotes Library Card Sign- Up Month

HARRISONBURG — September is Library Card Sign- up Month and Massanutten Regional Library is joining with the American Library Association and libraries nationwide to encourage every student to get a school supply they might not have thought of — a free library card.

While the month focuses on the value of libraries in the lives of students, a library card can be a great resource for everyone, according to an MRL press release. A Massanutten Regional Library card is free to anyone who lives, works or attends school in Harrisonburg, or Rockingham and Page counties.

The library system offers programs and resources for kids of all ages, including story times. They also offer weekly STEM programs, high- interest reading, online resources and internet access.

MRL’s Central Library is at 174 S Main St., Harrisonburg. The system also has branches in Elkton, Grottoes, Bridgewater, Luray, Shenandoah and Broadway.
