DELEGATE LANDES RECEIVES “LIFETIME SERVICE AWARD” AND TWO “FREE ENTERPRISE AWARDS” FROM THE VIRGINIA

RICHMOND, VA – The Virginia Chamber of Commerce named Del. R. Steven Landes, R-Weyers Cave, Chairman of the House Education Committee and Vice Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, a recipient of the “Lifetime Service Award, Career Focused K-12 Education Award, and the Fiscal Stewardship Award. The awards were presented to Del. Landes at the Chamber’s 2019 Annual Dinner held in Richmond last night for his work in the 2019 General Assembly session. The awards were issued to Del. Landes in recognition of his support for the principles and initiatives outlined in the Chamber’s long-term economic development plan, Blueprint Virginia 2025. Del. Landes was also the Chamber’s “2016 Legislator of the Year.”

While he will be missed in the General Assembly, I know his commitment to public service remains and I wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
