Dean Brothers Names CEO
HARRISONBURG — Dean Brothers Inc., a Harrisonburg commercial, industrial and residential electrical company, will welcome Adam Roberson as its new CEO in March.
Roberson, who has experience with strategic planning while working for a Minnesota- based commercial printing company now called Navitor, has spent the past 10 years as an executive and program director of a medical nonprofit and is in the process of relocating to the Valley from central Maryland.
The company’s four owners — Edward Dean, Steven Dean, Clayton Rutan and Chad Propst — chose Roberson as their new company leader based on his experiences with strategic planning, according to Steven Dean and Clayton Rutan.
Dean Brothers is uniquely poised to meet to the changes in the electrical trade, Roberson said. The company, he said, has invested in ways to increase their share of work for each contract, including aspects of information technology and an in- house fabrication shop. “All of these [ steps] have been the evolution for the company,” Roberson said. “This is the moment we’re going to grow. The industry demands it and the customers are demanding it.” “I’m really looking forward to taking the company to the next level,” Steven Dean said.
Dean Brothers has been family owned for over 34 years.
Roberson plans to structure the company to further expand and meet current market demands.
