Businesses Raise For Food Pantry

HARRISONBURG — Several city businesses are donating funds to support local 4- H and FFA members and benefit the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

Pork For The Poultry, a partnership between Rockingham Cooperative and Eddie Edwards Signs, has raised money from several businesses to raise more than $ 5,000 to purchase six hogs for the food bank.

The hogs, raised by 4- H and FFA members, will be processed and donated to the Verona food bank later this month, according to a press release.

The food bank will receive 750 pounds of pork.
