HARRISONBURG, VA (November 3, 2017) —A Rockingham County artisan studio was recently named an American Craft Week Star Award winner in the Outstanding Craft Education & Demonstrations Events category by organizers of American Craft Week. BrydgeWorks Glass Studio, Supplies & Gifts was the lone award recipient from Virginia. Awardees are honored for exceptional participation and support during this year’s American Craft Week, October 6-15, 2017. Daily demonstrations and hands-on learning opportunities held at BrydgeWorks Glass during that week included stained glass bird panels, bevels, mosaics, microwave kiln, and Glaskolben ornaments. An open house rounded out BrydgeWorks’ celebration of artisan crafts.
American Craft Week (ACW) is an annual nationwide event spearheaded by the Craft Retailers & Artists For Tomorrow (CRAFT), a non-profit trade organization focused on promoting handmade American craft. ACW attracts hundreds of artisan participants and thousands of visitors to studios and businesses in all 50 states.
