Brown Edwards Announces New Partner

Brown Edwards is pleased to announce the addition of one new partner to our growing firm; Megan Meador, formerly a Director in our Bristol, VA office.

Megan Meador, CPA – Megan joined Brown Edwards in September 2016. She has over 17 years of experience in both public accounting and the private sector with both public and private companies. Megan worked with a national top 4 firm, providing assurance services primarily with institutions regulated by the SEC, as well as other local manufacturing, energy and benefit plan clients. In addition, Megan has also previously worked for a publicly-traded coal company in various accounting and reporting roles.  At Brown Edwards, she focuses primarily on Audit and Advisory services within the energy, mining, and manufacturing sectors.  She also has performed various consulting engagements for new entities, including opening balance sheet compilations for newly acquired and formed companies. Megan graduated from Emory and Henry College in Emory, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Accounting. She is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as the American Institute of CPAs. This year, Megan was named to the Tri-Cities Business Journal 40 under 40 class.
