Now – Dec. 10            BC Special Collections: “Getting the Band Back Together” Exhibition
Lower level, John Kenny Forrer Learning Commons
The gallery is open from 7:30 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to midnight on Sunday. Check libguides.bridgewater.edu during inclement weather.
BC Special Collections is exhibiting “Getting the Band Back Together: A Celebration of Marching Bands at Bridgewater College,” a showcase of the historic BC marching band from 1950 to 1971 and the Screamin’ Eagles Marching Band which debuted this year. The exhibit was curated by Special Collections Librarian Stephanie S. Gardner and intern Meghann L. Burgess ’23.

Now – Dec. 10            Art Exhibition – “American Glitch: Neo Regionalism” by Alan Skees
Beverly Perdue Art Gallery, John Kenny Forrer Learning Commons
Alan Skees road trips through the United States creating surreal digital landscapes of a society entrenched in a “nostalgia or future” argument with itself. Armed with cell phones, GPS and hacked apps, he scans the land and finds everywhere the fingerprints of humanity: technology, corporations,                   industrialization and sprawling urbanization—and he embraces it.
 
Dec. 3                          Holiday Extravaganza
Carter Center for Worship and Music, Concert Hall, 7:30 p.m.
Bridgewater College will present a Holiday Extravaganza of familiar Christmas carols. A number of BC music ensembles will be featured.
Free and open to the public.
